Curved top - "In the White"

Washingborough, Lincolnshire

Double glazed

Unlike the window below, this window has a curved top sash and the weight box is similarly curved. "In the white" means the timber has been supplied in the natural timber finish with only a clear basecoat.

Like most sash windows, the weight box sits behind the outer skin of brickwork. The window is actually rectangular and the brickwork makes the curve.

Wide Cottage Bar

Image-15

Lincolnshire

Double glazed

This picture is to give a rough idea of how a 'wide' bar (40mm)

looks in a typical sash window. There are four double glazed units here and the wide bar is needed to hide the hot melt border seal.
