Curved top - "In the White" |
|
Washingborough, Lincolnshire
Double glazed
Unlike the window below, this window has a curved
top sash and the weight box is similarly curved. "In
the white" means the timber has been supplied in the
natural timber finish with only a clear basecoat. |

Like most sash windows, the weight box sits behind
the outer skin of brickwork. The window is actually
rectangular and the brickwork makes the curve. |

Wide Cottage Bar |
|
Lincolnshire
Double glazed
This picture is to give a rough idea of how a 'wide'
bar (40mm)
looks in a typical sash window. There are four
double glazed units here and the wide bar is needed
to hide the hot melt border seal. |
